Tennis crazy!!!
This week some of our school has been doing tennis with professionals and everyone is loving it. We have been learning to bounce the ball with the tennis racket, it's really hard to do but we give it a try.Noah smith plays tennis for Spreydon Club and he is really good at it. When we are all playing tennis he plays with our teacher or the coach properly or other wise it would be just like learning 1 +1 for him.
Paiges awesome persuasive story.
Should we be allowed to have chewing gum to school?
Well I strongly think we should not have chewing gum at school because someone might choke on it and it will take a long time to digest.
And yes it gives us good breath but if you think about it we shouldn't even need it beacause we would have brushed and flossed already.
And have a little think about this. People might stick it under tables or chairs or maybe even throw it in the bush when no one was looking. Do you think that's good for our environment? Therefore, I strongly disagree that we should be able to take chewing gum to school.

super skipping fitness for camp.
For the last couple of weeks room 1 and 2 have super skipping.
We have to last a whole song while doing skipping! It's pretty difficult but we manage. We are building up our fitness for year 5/6 camp. Some people even do Criss cross, how clever!

August - winter sport nears the end
Only one game to go and our season is finished for this year. With two football teams and one team each for rugby, hockey and netball, it's been a challenging season. The competition was good, in some cases too good for our teams but each week we carried our heads high and wore the West Spreydon uniform with pride. A big thank you to Cath Pratten, Libby Calder, Belinda Marsden, Angie Malae for coaching our teams and making the trip to Hagley each week.
